When you’re a children’s librarian, people are always drawing your portrait. It’s all very glamorous. We have two tween besties, Good Sandra and Bad Sandra. They have named themselves such. Good Sandra is very, very good, and Bad Sandra isn’t bad at all, she’s just has a super dry sense of humor that borders on the dark and morbid. I adore them.
The Sandras drew us (my supervisor and I) a portrait apiece. Have a look-see.

Good Sandra Library Portrait, March, 2012: Crayon on Paper, with leaves and staples
Notice how Good Sandra gives us no mouths and Bad Sandra gives us no facial features at all. I’m sure this means something super significant, but I’m too dumb to tell you what it is.
Viva la Sandras!
