  1. Done! And I’ve encouraged my friends to do the same.

I live in Australia, but this sounds familiar, except the kids at my school don’t get to go to the local library. I work at a four campus school in one of Melbourne’s poorest suburbs. We do have a library at my campus, but I rather think as soon as I take my retirement I won’t be replaced. Our senior campus library has been closed down, all the books given away or thrown out. Even now, I have classes – not library classes, regular classes – and only a small amount of money to run my library, so I do a book blog and give the review copies to my library, and find the cheapest activities to take my students to.

I wish you all the best for this campaign.
